AI-Assisted Coding: from Copilot to Cursor to Claude
You've tried the tools. You've accepted a suggestion here and there. But it's not part of how you actually work yet — and that gap is costing you time every single day. This course closes it.
- Duration
- 3 weeks
- Live sessions
- 2× / week, 90 min
- Cohort size
- 10–15 developers
- Investment
- $100–150 (tools included)
// you type a comment, it suggests one line
function validateEmail(input) {
+ return /^[^\s@]+@[^\s@]+\.[^\s@]+$/.test(input);
}
// stops there. you're still driving every other line.
The problem
You're not behind on AI. You're behind on adoption.
“I've heard about these AI coding tools but I'm not sure I'm using them properly — or getting much out of them. I still write most of my code manually. I don't want to fall behind but I don't know where to start.”
That's the honest starting point for most developers on this course. It isn't a lack of awareness — most have tried Copilot, pasted a stuck function into ChatGPT once or twice. What's missing is a consistent, AI-augmented way of working. Left alone, that gap compounds: every week you don't close it is productivity left on the table.
Why this course
Built for practical adoption, not another demo
The tool landscape is well documented already. What's missing is the practice layer — this course exists to build that.
01
Three tools, one arc
You'll work across Copilot, Cursor, and Claude — not as a feature tour, but as a deliberate progression from suggestion → edit → delegation.
02
Your own codebase
Every assignment runs against real work you brought with you — not toy problems. What you build in the course, you keep using after it.
03
Taught by a practitioner
Led by a working senior developer or CTO who uses agentic tools daily — not a trainer reading from tool documentation.
04
Any seniority, real bar
Open to developers at any level who haven't yet made AI tools core to their workflow — accessible to mid-level, still sharp enough for seniors.
05
Small, focused cohort
Capped at 10–15 developers so problem-based sessions stay hands-on, not lecture-style.
06
Tool access included
Your $100–150 covers tool access for the course — no separate subscriptions to sort out before you can start.
What you'll be able to do
By the end of week three
Set up and configure at least two AI coding tools (e.g. Copilot, Cursor, Claude) in your working environment.
Use AI to generate boilerplate, write and run tests, refactor code, and document legacy codebases.
Evaluate AI-generated output critically — knowing when to trust it, when to correct it, and when to discard it.
Describe your own AI readiness level and identify the next step in your workflow evolution.
The run of the course
Three weeks, six sessions
Problem-based assignments run against your own codebase between sessions.
Week 1 · Getting AI into your daily loop
- setupConfigure Copilot, Cursor, and Claude in your own working environment
- first-winGenerate boilerplate and get comfortable accepting (and rejecting) suggestions
Week 2 · Applying it to real work
- testsUse AI to write and run tests against your own codebase
- refactorRefactor and document legacy code with AI in the loop
Week 3 · Judgment and workflow evolution
- evaluateBuild the habit of critically evaluating AI output before you ship it
- next-stepMap your own AI readiness level and your next workflow step
Who teaches this
A practitioner, not a trainer
A working senior developer or CTO
Someone the cohort would recognise as a peer, or an aspirational one — a practitioner who speaks to real trade-offs and mistakes made, not a vendor pitch. Content is drawn from Cursor's documentation, Anthropic's prompt engineering guide, and GitHub Copilot tutorials, curated and contextualised by the facilitator. Tunga Academy sequences it and adds the live practice layer that self-study can't replicate.
